I'll Take a Scoop of That!

     I swear (when PMS'ng) that a hard stomached laugh can change your day! We are all designed different and view many humorous things differently...what some view as hilarious others see to be quite dull. Like when I'm driving in a rain storm and see a young white male, (profiling) rappin' to the beat on his iPod like he was a reincarnated Tupac, I just want to drive through a puddle and splash the crap out of him like in the movies... some view that as mean; I think that's funny. Others might think that Carrot Top is a comical genius, as I think to myself (Douchebag) not funny.

     What I find to be also humorous is some of the simple things in life that others may take for granted; like conversations we have with our kids. You can not seek for such amusement or you will be disappointed. It just has to come naturally. We can all agree that innocent children do say some funny stuff! Don't judge me but I am laughing at them (or what they said) than with them because they have no idea of 'what they said'! 

Ergo my conversation I had with Angelina, my 10 year old daughter, today when she got home from school.

Me: Hey babe, how was school?! 

Angelina: O.K. I got a new library book!

Me: Awesome! Can I see it?

Angelina: Yup

As she's showing me her new book I can see some wheels turning in her head, she asks...

Angelina: Mom, have you ever tried Virgin ice cream?

Surprised as all hell I reply

Me: Um...no...I don't think I ever have or at least I don't remember.

Angelina: Well my friend at school said that her mom eats it all the time and its                       supposed to be really good for you.

Wanting to laugh my a@# off I hold it in feeling like I can still extract some more

Me: Virgin ice cream huh? Wow, as much as I love ice cream I've never heard of it.

       Do they make it a special way?

Angelina: Well ya, she said that there's no dairy in it.

Me: Ohhhhhh, what I think you meant to say was Vegan ice cream

Angelina: Nope, she really said Virgin, Mom.

Me: Well tomorrow at school you can tell your friend that I used to eat Virgin 

       ice cream but gave it up 10 years ago.

Now that's Funny
